Bottle Genius: koffiemachine voor het maken van flesvoeding
A few years ago we talked here in the newsroom have about how useful it would be if you could make baby formula by pushing the button just as you make a cup of coffee. That was really something we would like to invent! But how do you start with something like that? We also know what is involved by the development of a new technical product… Béaba came up with the Bib’expresso: a device that produces water at the right temperature that flows into the bottle and dissolves the baby formula in that bottle. So you still have to put the formula in to the bottle first.
The new Genius Born Free Bottle goes one step further; you fill the container at the top with baby formula, put water in another container, set in the size of the bottle and press the start button. The water flows in the bottle at the right temperature and the right amount of milk powder is then added into the bottle. Just shake the bottle and voila! Making a bottle is easy with a baby on your arm, but is also convenient if you have to prepare a bottle at odd times, for example at nights! I actually thought that this device made it possible to mix water and formula in one stream to run into the bottle, but this idea is apparently a step to far, and for understandable and hygienic reasons dropped. No wonder if you see the work I have if I have to clean my own coffee machine….
Seeing how the Bottle Genius works?Een paar jaar geleden hebben we het hier op de redactie nog over gehad: hoe handig zou het zijn als je net als met een druk op de knop koffie kunt zetten, babyvoeding kunt maken? Dat wilden wij wel gaan uitvinden. Maar ja, hoe begin je met zo iets? We weten ook wat er bij de ontwikkeling van een nieuw technisch product komt kijken. Ieder zijn vak nietwaar? Béaba bedacht de Bib’expresso: een apparaat waarmee je water op de juiste temperatuur in de fles kon laten stromen met daarin de melkpoeder die door de waterstroom netjes oplost. Dus je moet wel eerst poeder in de fles doen.
De nieuwe Bottle Genius van Born Free gaat nog een stapje verder; je vult de container bovenin met melkpoeder, water in een andere container, stelt in op de grootte van de fles en drukt op de startknop. Het water stroomt op de juiste temperatuur in de fles en de juiste hoeveelheid melkpoeder wordt daarna in de fles toegevoegd. Even de fles schudden en klaar is Kees! Zo flesvoeding maken kun je zelfs met een baby op de arm doen, maar het is ook handig om op vreemde tijden (denk aan ’s nachts) een flesje klaar te maken. Ik dacht eigenlijk dat dit apparaat het mogelijk maakte om water en voeding in een gemengde stroom in de fles te laten lopen, maar daar zal om hygiënische en begrijpelijke redenen wel van zijn afgezien. Geen wonder als je ziet hoeveel werk ik heb met het schoonmaken van mijn eigen koffie apparaat….

Nooit meer bang in het donker met doomoo knuffelspookje met lampje

Bij een druk op de knuffel zal het lampje gedurende 10 minuten branden en gaat dan in stand-by stand. Ook als je kindje huilt begint het spookje spontaan te stralen en wordt deze opnieuw geactiveerd. Handig te weten is dat je de twee onderdelen los kunt gebruiken: als knuffel en als designlampje die je met een USB kabel kunt opladen. Is spooky vuil geworden? Voor de lichtmodule volstaat een vochtig lapje, de knuffel kan gewoon in de wasmachine.
